Based out of our Munich office, the CER & Emerging Media Field Marketing Manager will lead and oversee all Marketing activities across the Central region (Germany, Switzerland & Austria) as well as our emerging markets in Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe.
You will also be required to:
Align the EMEA Media Marketing strategy, tactics and operations with the Global Marketing and Media Divisional strategy.
Interface with CER & Emerging Regional Sales Leader to ensure local business needs are addressed appropriately as well as individual Country leads around the region.
Build infrastructure to drive demand and an integrated sales funnel for lead generation across named region/countries.
Use your local market knowledge, to direct and execute programs to increase awareness and generate demand for Akamai’s products and services.
Set objectives with the Senior Director Media Marketing, EMEA & Regional Sales Leader expected of a leading marketing organisation to deliver growth and revenue aligned to corporate goals.
Analyze the marketing funnel, channel mix and customer segmentation to formulate ideas and approaches to optimize cost effective pipeline generation across different customer segments and personas in both regions.
Leverage predictive analytics tools to accelerate pipeline generation and revenue achievement
Help lead, recruit, motivate, and mentor a team of strategic, data-driven, next-gen marketers to support Akamai’s business.
Successfully delivering strategic marketing within an international organisation.
Successfully take a corporate strategy and executed against it - ensuring cultural compatibility.
Work successfully with marketing staff across different countries and business units, considering cultural differences.
Oversee and be responsible for the execution of local marketing programs, events and partner activity
Overseeing and be responsible for the execution of the tactical and operational aspects of the Marketing strategy for the CER and Emerging countries.
Manage local PR Agency and drive integrated press engagement across region.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Strong background in managing lead-generation programs.
Experience in managing country or regional marketing teams.
Proven track record in creating innovative and targeted marketing programs that generate results.
Self-starter with an ability to drive to results.
Makes effective, reliable, and at times, tough decisions quickly based upon analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.
Bachelor degree in marketing, business, engineering, or relevant field of study
We would expect applicants to have at least 7+ years of relevant work experience in marketing, marketing communications for digital/high-technology companies/products.
Have experience working with indirect channel partners and building positive working relationships and delivering co-developed plans to help drive demand
Able to thrive in a matrix organization, leveraging and influencing others to achieve objectives
Be a collaborative team player, effectively interacting with employees, partners and customers at all levels within the organisation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and can be equally effective in both formal and informal settings with senior executives, peers and business partners.
Achieves goals successfully; focuses on winning in the marketplace; impacts the bottom-line; constantly challenges self and others to deliver results; acts with a sense of urgency and seizes opportunities when they arise
