The Senior Marketing Program Specialist, Global Brand & Campaigns works closely with the VP, Global Brand & Campaigns, coordinating strategic implementation and providing ongoing operational governance for teams across brand and messaging, campaign planning, digital media and creative development and execution. The Senior Marketing Program Specialist will help develop and drive the priorities for marketing integration and improvement. This includes enabling, managing, and monitoring collaboration and performance optimization across program results, process and technology.
The Senior Marketing Program Specialist also works closely with the Marketing Operations, Enablement, and Finance teams on process, training, budget management, reporting, and analytics for the Brand & Campaigns team.
The role requires strategic acumen and operational experience. It requires a structured approach to prioritization, problem solving, and identifying opportunities for communication and process improvement. Success will depend on effective, collaborative, and cross functional alignment of priorities and workstreams, as well as delivery against goals and objectives.
This is an ideal position for someone who is strategic and detail oriented, with experience driving operational plans and processes, who wants to take big leap putting these skills to work across a large multi-faceted, global marketing team.
Coordinate internal and external resources to support strategic integration across brand, messaging, campaign, and program development (creative & media).
Manage a robust marketing measurement approach that addresses reputation/brand activities, efficient lead generation, and creative effectiveness.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding strategy, program overview, timeline, requirements, measurement, and optimization
Manage the day-to-day coordination between internal teams
Monitor critical marketing reporting mechanisms, including automated dashboards and reports
Oversee Brand & Campaigns planning, budgeting, and reconciliation processes
Provide ongoing strategic and operational support and thought leadership to VP, Global Brand & Campaigns
About the Team
Akamai’s Brand & Campaigns Team is responsible for elevating Akamai’s Brand, Messaging, and Creative in order to accelerate relevance and awareness among key audiences and influencers and accelerating Akamai’s marketing effectiveness by leveraging digital media, data, technology, insights, and streamlined processes to make marketing more efficient and effective.
Required Education and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent or
3 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree
Experience in a large, preferably enterprise B2B, marketing environment
Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills
Ability to develop strong relationships and build credibility within the organization
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Ability to absorb direction and input to develop effective solutions that will achieve organizational goals
Ability to perform in a team environment managing multiple deadline-driven projects
Leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and vendors at all levels to meet business goals
Continuous improvement orientation
Global experience a plus
