The Partner Account Executive is responsible for the management and development of Akamai’s partner ecosystem in Latin America. The Partner Account Executive will be responsible for maintaining and growing Akamai’s indirect revenue, pipeline development and new customer acquisition efforts in the region. They will do this by successfully managing and growing Akamai’s Existing Channel Partners in the region and through the identification and on-boarding of New Channel Partners needed to meet and exceed our business objectives in each region/territory. This position reports to the Head of Channels for Latin America and will be based out of Sao Paulo, Brazil. It requires availability to travel internationally on a regular basis.
As a Partner Account Executive, you will be responsible for
Grow revenue by developing and managing reseller partner sales strategies and tactics to sell Akamai, identifying the most appropriate plan and execute it with the most productive contacts within the reseller partner.
Manage with accuracy, cadency and discipline pipeline, forecast and deal registrations numbers and metrics from the main channels under its responsibility
Master sales channels operations and system tasks to guarantee the optimal flow of business from channel partners to Akamai and end users
Communicate Akamai’s value proposition through in-person meetings, conference calls, sales activities, trainings and other events.
Lead and propose sales campaigns through-out the year to motivate new sales and the launch of new solutions.
Contribute, supervise and participate on the channels Annual Marketing Plan, collaboratively working with Akamai Channel MKT team and channels Marketing representative.
Accelerate the sales cycle by providing sales, technical and administrative support to the reseller Partner and attain and even exceed the assigned sales quota and company business objectives.
Drive the development and coordination of designated South American Main Channels short and long-range sales strategies to assure incremental growth of Akamai’s revenue within the reseller customer base.
Champion and maintain a superior relationship with the channel and Akamai’s field sales teams.
The Partner Account Executive must research, understand and articulate the features and benefits represented by all Akamai solutions within this position's scope (Web, Media and Enterprise).

Our Channel Sales & Programs team members contribute a blend of channel sales, sales and marketing experience. Resale of Akamai managed services provide unique recurring revenue opportunities for resellers whose product or service focus is that of assisting customers in managing the delivery of applications and information over the internet. Akamai has a comprehensive partner program aimed specifically at enabling the partner to efficiently sell and, support a portfolio of Akamai products.
Required Education and Experience:
All applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
* 5+ years of relevant experience and Bachelors’ degree in Business, Marketing or Technical Discipline or
- 3+ years of relevant experience and Masters’ degree in Business, Marketing or Technical Discipline
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or Technical Discipline.
5+ years of experience with channels sales management and business development in the SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS space.
3+ years of experience with internet-related technologies.
3+ years of Business Development experience with large, global Enterprise partners.
Fluency in English, Spanish and a native speaker of Portuguese.
Demonstrated sales skills utilizing a proven sales process such as Solutions selling.
Successful sales track record and quota achievement in both direct and indirect sales role within a services company.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
Team player with excellent inter personal and communication skills to manage and deal with a diverse group of people, in a large multi-cultural territory, aligning them to pursue common sales objectives.
