Reporting to the Manager of Talent Acquisition, the Recruiter II will manage the full-cycle recruiting process for openings across multiple divisions including partnering with hiring managers to understand their needs, implementing creative talent acquisition strategies, leading the assessment, selection and decision making process. This position requires you to work closely with senior management, TA colleagues, and functional HR Business Partners to drive a world-class Talent Acquisition function with the goal of identifying and hiring the industries best talent. You will be a leader, managing the recruitment strategy for various business areas and mentoring other Recruiters who support these functional groups.

Required Education and Experience

Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:

  • 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent or

  • 3 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree or

  • Relevant experience and a PhD

Required Skills

  • 2+ year of recruiting/sourcing experience in a corporate environment.

  • 1+ year experience of technical recruiting experience.

Desired Skills

  • Expert in technical recruiting with a proven track record of identifying, qualifying and hiring system software engineers, applications software engineers, and other specialized technical positions.

  • Experience utilizing various recruiting tools (search engines, social networks, job fairs, networking and other creative methods) to locate top talent.

  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems and OFCCP guidelines.

  • Proven ability in customer relationship management and providing strong consultative skills.

  • Builds effective relationships through positive communication that motivates and influences others.

  • Is able to work effectively in a highly complex, fast-paced, diverse, and changing environment.

  • Proactive and committed, continually focuses on achieving positive results contributing to Akamai’s business success.

  • Superior written & verbal communication skills with emphasis placed on accuracy & diplomacy.

  • Must be energetic, team focused with a strong sense of urgency.
